I still chuck a dowel into the drill press, but your jig will work nicely on the bench,safely!

gee, looks just like the spool clamp i have used for the purpose, but the knob is a big improvement over the wingnut. |

Awesome idea!!! I have a bunch of those clamps that I don't use. AND I hate inserting in the bushings |

Great idea, but I'm not going to make my own. I'll just wait till the next Stew-Mac catalog comes out and buy their billet aluminum version for $39.95.

have s-m throw a spool in your next ordr; easier to buy one spool clamp from s-m than to make one. |
